Rubin and Ed (1991) Trent Harris porters beers signed DVD wolfman cult film

Signed copy by director Trent Harris too!

Now I knew I was gonna be in for a surreal trip so I lubricated up the old mind gears with a few bottles of strong, dark as oil, ale. The first line on the back of the DVD box reads “A delirious detour from the ordinary!“. I grab another bottle and guzzled back more of the good stuff. With a chance encounter with this curious cult Rubin and Ed DVD flying into my mitts from afar, I just couldn’t get my hairy arse sat down quick enough. “Right here I go, I’m going inContinue reading

The Hidden (1987) “Video Store Action Heroes” 4 x Action Packed VHS Movie Memories

The Hidden (1987) Michael Nouri Kyle Maclachlan cult film vhs cassette cover case

Much like Peter Parker gets his Spidey sense, I experience a similar sensation, whenever danger arises in the area my hair stands on end. Much like I’ve touched one of those electric static balls. It might be a great addition to my crime fighting skills against the evildoers of the world but to be honest I look absolutely ridiculous! How can I tussle with the bad guys when I look like one of the hair bear bunch, rather than a terrifying wolf? Well I burst out into fur ball mode again but I was ready. I knew something bad was going down as I pulled out my most prized weapon from my utility belt, a water spray bottle to calm those hairs. I can’t fight proper looking way too cute.

Trancers (1984) sceince fiction sci fi b-movie cult classic horror fun

First up! How the festive giblets could I have ever missed this prized turkey cult classic science fiction film before! Seriously this must of been at eye level in every VHS rental store in the 80’s. I bet my grubby teenage hands would of even picked it up and pondered renting it before something else took my attention. In a way I’m so glad I did miss it, as what an absolute treat to find it now. Oh my days, what 5 star fun that was and unintentionally stumbling upon an alternative christmas flick in the mix. It’s the season to be jolly for sure. Continue reading

Psychomania AKA The Death Wheelers (1973)

psychomania_poster

This is perfect late night horror comedy gold. Caught this gem sometime at the tail end of the 80’s after a night on the tiles. Stumbled in, collapsed on the sofa and stared like a zombie at the tv transfixed by the berserk bat shit antics of this ridiculous goofy film. Just the title alone, Psychomania, is enough to pull you in. It does go by another name too the equally brilliant The Death Wheelers.

The Dead Still Ride…the living howl in TERROR!
