Luckily it’s just a few people that get to read this so I hopefully won’t get the Wrath of Khan treatment from the Trekkie community. But wait before you fire me out of a photon torpedo tube for my sins please, I beg, grant me one day of freedom from execution. Maybe the chance to have one last meal? I’d like to try some Klingon delights. A bregit lung and krada leg perhaps. To wash it down with a pint of that galaxy wide favourite, the intoxicating blue juice of Romulan ale. And if I was to be so bold and ask for my last night to be spent in the arms of maybe three beautiful green Orion slave girls? Well after that I’d be happy to be blasted into the Mutara Nebula or gas cloud of your choice.Continue reading
Well I’d been waiting for quite sometime for the invite to arrive through my letterbox from the BBC’s long running show Desert Island Disc’s. It hadn’t come. So I decided to do my own. Continue reading
After falling asleep on a bench, I stagger home. Science fiction mission completed. Shaking the space dust from my fur as I pack my trusty spacesuit away. Clamber into my hammock with a giant glass of Long Island Iced Tea. Yep, it’s got an umbrella and a slice of lemon. Dressing gown and slippers, check! Time to chill. I grab the notepad off the sideboard. OK let’s look at this years “to watch list!” It’s monstrous. Haha Continue reading
Christmas is upon us. I’ve always preferred the eve to the day, just feels more mellow and chilled. A couple of drinks on the go and the hand keeps reaching for the snack bowls. Perfect time for a movie or two before the big day comes. A christmas eve roast is cooking, the Bushmills Irish Whiskey is a flowing. A Miracle on 34th Street (1947) is cued up ready for watching later. Christmas is here. Continue reading

There’s sure to be something for everyone. Continue reading
I sat anxiously awaiting the phone call from my good friend David Vincent,….. it never came! Pacing the room, back and forth, I kept looking at the phone on the table, willing it to ring. What could have happened to him? Said he would call around noon to organise a rendezvous point. To meet for lunch, where he would inform me of the incoming invasion, an invasion from beings from another planet……. The Invaders!
Intro – Alien beings from another planet, their destination… The Earth! Their purpose? To make it their world!
At last I found the time to start reading Alan Moore and Kevin O’Neill’s magnificent comic book collection The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. Needed that perfect moment to delve into the “superhero” world of victorian Britain, and the festive holiday away from work was what I needed. Slippers squeezed onto my massive paws and snuggled on my favourite leather sofa, wolf den curtains closed, bit of mood lighting and a large bourbon on the rocks. Yep this was the right moment. Oh my how much am I enjoying this book. It’s so beautifully crafted. Continue reading
