Why did I want to watch this western? “YEEEE HAAAA!” Quick draws my pistol out of it’s holster and fires into the air. (OOooh matron). Sweet cowgirl Raquel Welch. Here’s my review of the avenging Hannie Caulder (1971).

Framed (1975) Human Donkey Kong Smashes His Way To Revenge

Human Donkey Kong with a southern drawl, Joe Don Baker plays nightclub owner and big time gambler Ron Lewis. Ron gets the heads up of a game.  “There’s gonna be big game dollars tonight. A bunch of turkeys coming down from New York. Gonna be like duck hunting!” cracking his fingers with big grin “I’ve been waiting months for a big game like this one“. His gal, nightclub partner and singer, Susan Barrett (Conny Van Dyke) is less than impressed. “Why can’t you quit when you’re ahead Ron?” “I’m a gambling man Susan, it’s what it is”. Just like the Tammy Wynette song, Susan stands by her man.

Keep active, keep strong and the years will flyby, then he can be back in the arms of his lady. Yeah he can deal with the shakedowns and crappy food, he’s as strong as an ox.

Mickey Rourke plays criminal minded John ‘Johnny Handsome‘ Sedley and manages to channel the spirit of Eric Stoltz portrayal of Rocky Dennis until he meets Dr Fisher (Forest Whitaker) for some experimental cosmetic surgery giving Johnny the chance to change his face. Turning him into Bruce Willis with hair whilst sprouting the vocal style of Marlon Brando.

In good old depressing 80’s action revenge style you know what to expect from this here movie. Like Death Wish, you know what’s coming but unlike Paul Kersey (Charles Bronson) having to go it alone on his one man bad guy mashing mission our Vigilante hero Eddie Marion (Robert Forster) gets a little help from the neighbourhood fixers.
